I should clarify something...

After re-reading my last post...I realized that it sounded like I was ALREADY the GDT member for Create my Keepsake. These projects I made were actually created so that I could TRY out for the GDT spot this month. oops!! So sorry, if I made anyone think that I already had it!! I'm REALLY hoping I get GDT member some time...if it's NOT this month...then I'll keep trying!!

Scrapbook Heaven

Lot's of things happening on this forum!

The first exciting thing is that I became their DT Co-ordinator!! YAY!! I'm really excited to be working with Selena, Jenelle, Kristi, and Heather! And...of course Shannon, the owner!

Fun things are in the works and the DT are just as excited as I am to get this site hopping again!!

Also Scrapbook Heaven is hosting a WE LOVE HEIDI SWAPP contest!

Contest rules and requirements
-The Heidi Swapp Contest will open for entries May 15 2007.
-Entries must be uploaded to our Heidi Swapp Contest gallery to be eligible to win. (Contestants entering from Scrap Submit: entries will be submitted by the staff of Scrapbook Heaven) The last day to upload entries will be June 25, 2007.
-Each contestant is allowed 2 entries. More than 2 entries will result in disqualification.
-Entries will be judged on best use of Heidi Swapp products. Items accepted will be layouts (any size), altered items, and albums using Heidi Swapp. Entries must contain 75% or more of Heidi Swapp products.
-Scrapbook Heaven's Design Team members will be judging the contest. Winners will be announced on June 29, 2007.
-No purchase is necessary to win.

I created a project (well, actually 4 projects) for the Guest Design Team spot on Create My Keepsake. I have tried to get a GDT spot on this site for months now...too many to count. LOL I'm gonna keep trying though because someday my chance will come. Maybe it will be this month....who knows!

Either way, I managed to create 4 items tha I am VERY happy with. Daniela Dobson, on of the Design Team Members, came up with the challenge called One Sheet Wonder - create 4 projects from 1 sheet of pp. Two of those projects had to be cards but the other two items are our choice. Awesome challenge...if you ask me!

Toot...Toot...Toot...Toot!!!

I got another PUB!!!! Yeehaaw!!!! So exciting!! I'll have a layout published in Canadian Scrapbooker magazine's Fall issue!! There was a call a while back for layouts with the theme of stars. So, I submitted, not thinking anything more of it. Then I got the email this week telling me they wanted it!! This is my 4th pub! Hard to believe!

I'm gonna submit like crazy this summer!! This pub'ing stuff is exciting!!

DT call!!

Yahoo!! This is what I've been waiting for!! The Scrapbook Stand is having a DT call! I'm applying for sure! Go check it out!! Rori and Missy are amazingly wonderful people...and they are SISTERS!! Wish me luck!!

I'm done!!!!

Woohoo!!! So exciting to be finished year 2 of my 4-year BN program!!! Man...what a marathon this year was!! Every single course and clinical experience was amazing! I'm realizing more and more that becoming a nurse is what I am meant to be doing at this time. I honestly never thought I would be able to say that "I'm half way through a DEGREE!!" It's so awesome!!

This last clinical experience was the highlight of my year! It was stressful at first...so much to know...so much expected...so much responsibility...so much to be held accountable! But..I did it! My confidence has grown too!!!

Now...time to SCRAP all summer long!!! And I plan on pursuing my goal this year to become a designer for a manufacturer! If anyone has any ideas how I can make that happen...feel free to share!!

Today!!!

I got to watch a C-Section in Labor and Delivery!! YAY!! Although I had gone through one myself there was nothing like watching it!! AMAZING!!! Seeing that little miracle come out was breathtaking!!

But...I was a little nervous this morning about having to particpate in this procedure. Dh helped me to deal with my anxiety when he met me at the breakfast table with a scripture verse for my day:
"God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of love, power and sound mind." 1 Timothy 1:7

Thank God for this man in my life who manages to uplift me just when I need it the most!! LOVE you, sweetie!!

A BIG TOOT for me!!!

A couple of weeks ago, I started uploading some of my LOs on 2Peas !! Don't know why I waited so long to get my stuff posted there!! LOL Anyway, within a couple of days, I received an email from Erica Hernandaz (one of the Garden Girls) telling me that she would LOVE to highlight my gallery during the NSD celebrations on 2Peas!! Well, you can imagine how suprised I was!! And, of course, I said YES!! It's been so hard to keep it in!

I created a NEW LO for the event and yesterday I checked for the collection of user galleries that were highlighted and I was ONE of them!! YAY!!!! Here's the LO I created for it!

This was just what I needed after being rejected once again for a couple of DT positions that I thought for sure I would get!! Thanks Erica for picking me!!

So...needless to say...my gallery on 2Peas will definately NOT be neglected!!

Finally...another post!!

Yes!! I'm neglecting my BLOG!!! I've been focusing my time on completing this intersession semester!! Two more weeks left! The last two weeks have been the toughest 2 of my life, I think!! LOL

And...I've been focusing the rest of my time to our Sisterhood BLOG !! Don't forget to check it out EACH day! We just picked a NEW sister today!! We're have so much fun with it!!
